At American Aerospace, our goal is to digitally transform aerial patrol of oil & gas infrastructure. We seek an innovative executive to drive this transformation. The OSCAR Sales Engineer’s primary function is to sell OSCAR sensors for drones: manage customer opportunities, projects and orders through the sales, production and delivery phases, to ensure that customer expectations are managed and met and that the company remains profitable throughout an order cycle. Reports To: GM, Airborne Systems Group.
American Aerospace, based in Philadelphia, PA, with operations in Sterling, VA, Woodbine, NJ and Bakersfield, CA, designs and manufactures advanced unmanned aircraft and intelligent sensors for the patrol of critical infrastructure. Learn more about American Aerospace: www.americanaerospace.com.
Skills/Traits Required:
• BS Degree in Engineering, Business, IT or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in an engineered product sales environment.
• Part 107 License, experience acquiring imagery with drones a plus.
• Good overall computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors and other departments.
• Willingness and ability to identify opportunities for improvement and make suggestions for change.
• Highly detail oriented, attentive to accuracy and neatness.
• Displays diplomacy and the ability to work effectively with customers and other departments.
• Demonstrates cooperation and willingness to take instruction.
• High degree of flexibility and willingness to work with a wide variety of customers.
• Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Proficient in use of ERP systems.
Daily Routines Include:
• Understand our customers, markets, and products.
• Understand our internal systems and processes to include all departments.
• Work directly with ASG GM and our customers to develop proposals, negotiate orders, maintain communications and manage expectations.
• Work with Marketing Department to develop and maintain product marketing materials, website, schedule and attend trade shows and support advertising and social media posts.
• Work with Engineering and Operations to develop accurate price estimates and keep our price list updated.
• Learn our ERP system to obtain accurate solution costs for preparation of estimates.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate’s degree considered

• Ability to commute/relocate: Conshohocken, PA (19428): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
• Work Location: In person, partial virtual considered.
Estimated Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 plus incentives.
